1. Consultation & Vision Planning
Before I ever pick up a camera, we sit down and figure out what this session actually needs to be: your style, your story, what you want it to feel like on the wall.
That means:
- In-home Style and Concept Consultation
- Wardrobe guidance and planning
- Choosing a location that suits the mood you're envisioning
- Defining the emotion and intention behind the session
By the time your session date arrives, all of that thinking is already done. You just show up and let it happen.
2. The Portrait Session
These sessions are never rushed. A fine art session unfolds over an hour or two or three, not fifteen minutes squeezed between other plans, because the images worth keeping only emerge once everyone has stopped performing for the camera.
I offer gentle direction throughout, but what I'm truly watching for is the moment that makes the image: a dancer caught at the peak of a leap, a mother's genuine embrace, a child who has simply forgotten the camera is there. That's the image I'm after.
My goal is to create images that feel organic, refined, and timeless.

Artwork Collections
Every session includes a reservation fee and an image credit toward your artwork selection session. From there, most clients choose to build a complete collection rather than select a single piece: an album to hold the whole story, fine art prints to give as gifts, and a wall art piece that anchors a room in your home. I'll walk you through the options and help you design a collection that captures the moments you care about most. You'll also receive social-size digital copies of everything you purchase, so you can share with family and friends.

I’m Rachel, and I’m a wedding, portrait, and event photographer based in Massachusetts and willing to travel as far as your dreams will take you. As the parent of teenagers, I’ve learned that everything is better with some humor thrown in, and I’ve also learned how FAST life goes by. Photography gives me a way to stop time, both for my family and for yours.
