Your experience begins the moment we speak. I’ll want to hear about who you are and what you’re looking for, and to talk with you about how I can create a beautiful set of heirloom images for you at this particular time in your life. I’ll be happy to answer your questions. I may ask you to fill out a brief questionnaire that helps me get to know you so that I can give you the best, most representative portraits possible in our time together.
My goals are simple: to learn about you, to capture this moment in your life in a way you will treasure, and to give you a beautiful product. My intention is that we have a wonderful time together as we achieve all of that. I want you to be happy with your experience and with the photos you choose from our time together.
It’s my goal to put you at ease before and during your portrait session. I want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible so I can capture you looking natural and relaxed. It’s important for kids to have breaks, to play, and to stop and have a snack on occasion. Children aren’t happy if they have to sit still. I’ll expect them to move and will be ready to move with them! Adults need breaks too. We’ll structure our time to be fun and relaxed, and I’ll create images that capture exactly who you are.
Your mini-session will last 15-20 minutes, and your full portrait session will last 45 minutes to an hour. Newborn sessions are often 2-3 hours so that there is plenty of time for babies to eat, snuggle, get changed, and sleep. After our session, I will take some time to professionally edit your photos, and then we’ll schedule a time to meet to review your images and for you to make product selections. You may choose packages or a la carte items, or I can customize a collection just for you.
The color and clarity of your professionally printed images are beautiful. The archival inks and papers we use are far superior to those used by consumer labs, ensuring that your prints and wall art will truly last. I’m happy to help you choose print sizes based on the particular images we create as well as on the space that you have available. There are a multitude of creative ways to print, share, display, and preserve your favorite images, and digital copies are available as well.
